In this Transformed version of the Poised form, Jaejun Lee pares the glaze effect back to its palest register — a soft, milky celadon that sits close to the white of the porcelain itself. Where other pieces in this group let the glaze run in visible drips over a bare body, here it is applied more evenly down the form, leaving a narrower band of exposed porcelain finished with fine ridges near the base.
As with the rest of the group, the piece is wheel-thrown in Korean porcelain and fired in gas reduction at Cone 9 — part of Jaejun Lee's current body of work exploring celadon glaze and its behaviour in the kiln. The fine ridges visible in the lower, unglazed section are left bare, in contrast with the smooth, glazed surface above.
