The proportions of Vase VII are unusual within the collection: at 15 cm high and 14 cm across, it reads almost as a sphere pressed onto a faceted base. One long, curved seam travels from the narrow mouth down to the foot, splitting the surface unevenly rather than dividing it in half.
That imbalance is intentional. Lee Songam's forms are ‘weighted unevenly’ by design — the asymmetry is not a departure from the form he intended, but the form itself.
