Flow Teal IV-1 belongs to the fourth subseries of Kim Hojung's Flow practice, and marks a shift in form: where the Flow III vessels move vertically, the IV series turns inward — rounder, quieter, more self-contained. At H 20.0 × Ø 20.0 cm, the vessel is almost perfectly spherical, a form that implies wholeness without closure.
The surface is built through a sustained process of gesture, each mark made without revision — a record of time and intention rooted in the formal logic of Korean Neolithic pottery. Teal carries its own meaning in Kim Hojung's work: the quality of forests brought into the domestic space, quiet and restorative.
Flow Teal IV-1 was wheel-thrown in white porcelain, hand-shaped, and high-temperature fired.

About the artist
Kim Hojung 김호정
"Blue reflects a sense of longing for the infinite spaces of nature, such as the sky and the sea, while teal green evokes lush forests, offering a sense of rest and quiet natural calm within everyday life."
